Southridge's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Evansville Christian Eagles. Southridge haven't had any issues with Evansville Christian recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Caleb Abbott and Geovoine Freeman scored both of Southridge's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Southridge's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Evansville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southridge will challenge Mt. Vernon at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southridge are facing Mt. Vernon at the right time seeing as Mt. Vernon are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Evansville Christian, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Evansville Harrison at 12:00 p.m.
