Wall and Gunter squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wall had to settle for second. They fell 42-32 to the Gunter Tigers. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Wall lost, don't look at Landon York. Despite the final result, he threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score. York is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last nine games he's played.

Wall's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-2. As for Gunter, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Wall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gunter, they will be home for the holidays to greet Woodville at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Gunter's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last 12 contests.
