The Kettle Moraine Lasers will head out on the road to challenge the Muskego Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Kettle Moraine needed a bit of extra time to put away Arrowhead. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Warhawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lasers have posted since May 23, 2024.
Briella Hack spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 13 hits.

At the plate, Sarah Marcheske was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run and five RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alesandra Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Muskego nor Oconomowoc made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Warriors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Raccoons a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Cora Jahimiak's shutout, as she gave up just three hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Gumieny, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Gibson, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Muskego has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kettle Moraine, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Kettle Moraine might still be hurting after the 10-4 defeat they got from Muskego when the teams last played back in April. Can the Lasers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
