The Edgewood Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 50-39 to C. Milton Wright. While losing is never fun, Edgewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Mustangs are ranked 41st).
C. Milton Wright was led to victory by Kyle Ashman and Dylan Sander. Ashman dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Sander dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. Sander has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Madden, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Edgewood has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for C. Milton Wright, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Edgewood has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Golden Elks at 6:45 p.m. on February 6th. As for C. Milton Wright, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the at 6:45 p.m. on January 31st.
