The fans packed the gym Tuesday night as the Park Vista Cobras girls' volleyball team opened its season against Trinity Christian. The cobras were led by (Sr.) Brie Roulette, who had 36 assists and 15 service points, and (Sr.) Daniella Vaughan, who added 11 service points and six digs to the cobras 25-7, 25-9, 25-13 dominating victory over the Warriors.
"We pulled together as a team and played our game clean, percise and strong." senior Brie Roulette of Park Vista said.
In the first game of the match the cobras jumped out to an early 11-0 led forcing Trinity Christian to call a timeout. The Warriors couldn't respond making multiple errors. Eventually (Sr.) Jenny Peterson put the game away for the cobras with a kill for a 25-7 victory.
In games two and three Trinity Christian couldn't hang with the cobras. (Jr.) Pamela Queiroga and (Fr.) Kristen Reid stepped up their game making several monsterious kills for the cobras.
"I'm very proud of the girls," Coach Ira Hubschman of Park Vista said. " They played aggresive and did everything I asked them to do."
With this convincing win, the Park Vista Cobras hope to use the same game plan in a key district game against the Atlantic Eagles next week.
