The Sharpsville Blue Devils''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 28-18 to Hickory. Sharpsville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hickory apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Zander Telesz looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also throwing for 123 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes. Telesz was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Sean Kennedy, who rushed for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
Sharpsville's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Hickory, their victory was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Sharpsville will square off against Fort LeBoeuf at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hickory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
