If the Westview Wildcats were riding high off their 49-24 takedown of the Aloha Warriors last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Westview fell just short of the Apollos by a score of 46-43. Westview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Apollos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaleah Medeiros, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dara Oluwafemi, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Sunset's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Morris-rexford, who scored 14 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Kalli Gallagher, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sunset, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Westview will head out on the road to challenge the Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaverton is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Sunset, they will take on the Mavericks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
