The Chestnut Ridge Lions will square off against the Everett Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chestnut Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Everett will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Chestnut Ridge extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Lions never let Forest Hills get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.
Not much got past Colton Boozer, who gave up just three hits to keep Forest Hills off the board. Boozer has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carter Ickes was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Everett never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Fannett Metal on Monday. They put the hurt on Fannett Metal with a sharp 15-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four contests by 13 runs or more so far this season.
Trevon Reaugh was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Reaugh was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Everett got a massive performance out of Lane Whitfield, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Cody Spade was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Everett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Everett's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Chestnut Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Chestnut Ridge has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Everett struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chestnut Ridge came up short against Everett in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, falling 6-2. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
