The Thomasville Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season. They really took it to Cairo for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-27 victory on the road. The victory was just what Thomasville needed coming off of a 62-35 loss in their prior matchup.
Thomasville can attribute much of their success to Kennedy Hayes, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five steals. Thomasville's win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8. As for Cairo, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Thomasville will take on Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cairo, they will head out on the road to face off against Colquitt County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Colquitt County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cairo in Georgia (Colquitt County is ranked 29th, while Cairo is ranked 437th).
