Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Porter's offense. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of Economedes. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Cowboys' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
The win got Lyford back to even at 1-1. As for Porter, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.
