The Kentridge Chargers will head out to take on the Stadium Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kentridge's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Stadium's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Kentridge will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Kennedy Catholic, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Chargers put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 10-0 win on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Chargers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Jozi Thompson was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Stadium fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Mt. Rainier on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 7-5. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sarah Yi made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season.
Kentridge's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Stadium, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Kentridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Stadium struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
