The Fighting Lobos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Jocelynn Rivera paced La Joya Community's offense, picking up 19 kills. Rivera got some help from Samantha Yee and her 18 assists. Yee also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kylah Coy, each putting up five.
Washington found their leader in sophomore Ivey Orozco, who had nine digs and three aces. Camille Harp also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.
La Joya Community's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 14-10. As for Washington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-16.
