The Kit Carson Wildcats can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wiley 59-19 at home. Given Kit Carson's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Wiley is ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kit Carson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nadaya Buttry, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Shay Rady was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Kit Carson and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Wiley, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Kit Carson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hi-Plains at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Caelan Church and Avery Johnson. As for Wiley, they will be playing at home against Walsh at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
