After losing to the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets the last time they met, the Denton Broncos decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Denton came out on top against Arlington Heights by a score of 47-35 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Denton.
Denton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Sheats, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Sheats has scored at least 25% of Denton's points. Another player making a difference was Chase Thomas, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Denton's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Arlington Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Denton will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Royse City at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Arlington Heights won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Forney at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. North Forney has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 370 points over their last six matchups.
