Lakota West has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Princeton Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Lakota West is ranked 12th, while Princeton is ranked eighth).
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lakota West had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Elder by a score of 24-14.
Meanwhile, Princeton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Hamilton with points to spare, taking the game 31-14.
Lakota West pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.4 points per game. As for Princeton, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.
Things could have been worse for Lakota West, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 18-3 loss to Princeton when the teams last played back in August. Can Lakota West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
