Chaparral's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gavin Carter, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Carter scored a full 26.4% of Chaparral's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Jenkins, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Wagner's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Romeo Hall, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jovanni Whittaker, who scored 13 points.
Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wagner, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Chaparral will face off against Stevens at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wagner, they will take on Clemens at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Clemens' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
