Tallwood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trinity Silmon, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Silmon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Faith Gray, who scored ten points.
Tallwood's defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-19. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.2 points per game. As for Cox, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tallwood's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Kellam focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Cox, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
