Sarah Sanusi was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. Lola Tamez was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Harlingen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as La Joya only eight offensive rebounds.
Despite the loss, La Joya still got an impressive performance from Brianna Reyna, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and three steals. Reyna is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylani Ozuna, who scored eight points and three steals.
Harlingen pushed their record up to 29-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for La Joya, their loss dropped their record down to 16-20.
