3A West Metro Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances in games played on Thursday and Friday (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Josh Bittner Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Thursday, Evergreen got the W thanks in part to Josh Bittner playing the best football he has all season. Bittner rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 92 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He is becoming a predictor of Evergreen's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
If history really does repeat itself, Bittner might just drop another big game when he faces off against Skyview on Thursday. When Bittner last faced the Wolverines back in October of 2023, he rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries.
