The Einstein Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. Their tough 55-34 defeat to Seneca Valley might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Einstein has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seneca Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brielle Watson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Watson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Mina Hashemzadeh was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Einstein's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Seneca Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Einstein will head out on the road to face off against Walter Johnson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Walter Johnson is ranked 101st, while Einstein is ranked 99th). As for Seneca Valley, they will be playing at home against Richard Montgomery at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Richard Montgomery is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
