Notre Dame Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mount de Sales Academy. Notre Dame Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sailors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Mount de Sales Academy was led to victory by Shelby Lewis and Mackenzie Conley. Lewis dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Conley scored 15 points along with six steals. Conley hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Katie Carroll, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Notre Dame Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Mount de Sales Academy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.
Notre Dame Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mount de Sales Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
