Brewbaker Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kevin Honer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds, and Johnathan Williams who scored 14 points. That was a full 34.1% of Brewbaker Tech's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Carlton Merriweather was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Brewbaker Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Demopolis, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Brewbaker Tech will be playing at home against Booker T. Washington Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses for Booker T. Washington Magnet and three for Brewbaker Tech. As for Demopolis, they will head out on the road to challenge Hale County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
