While Claymont's win against Sandy Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Cardinals on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Claymont's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Sandy Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5-1 record this season.

Claymont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Tuscarawas Central Catholic on the 25th. As for Sandy Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 23-2 win against Hiland on the 24th.
