The Pleasanton Blu-Jays won the last time they faced the St. Paul Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. Pleasanton breezed by St. Paul on the road to the tune of 54-27. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-12.
Tony Gillespie was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with five steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mario Davis, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Pleasanton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for St. Paul, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Pleasanton and Northeast will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. St. Paul will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southeast on January 2, 2024. Southeast is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
