Softball Recap: Shenango Wins Going Away Against Central Valley

While Shenango put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Central Valley. The Wildcats blew past the Warriors 9-0. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Not much got past Kennedi Lynn, who gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Central Valley off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brianna Aluisia, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Cashlin Buckel, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Shenango was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Shenango and bumps their season record up to 10-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Central Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Shenango will square off against Western Beaver at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
