Miller was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They were a single  point away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   45-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bishops apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
Miller's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Noah Lemaster, who rushed for 171 yards and three  TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and one  touchdown. Lemaster really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 72-yard run.  Zander Bice was another key rusher, rushing for 161 yards and one  score while picking up 7.7 yards per carry.
 Even if they lost, Miller's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Maddox Bolyard and  Bryce Dorsey, who racked up all five sacks between them.
  Hayden Perdue was  his usual excellent self, throwing for 559 yards and six  touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt for Bishop Rosecrans. Thanks to that big game,  Perdue is now up to 25  passing touchdowns on the season.
Miller's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bishop Rosecrans,  the  victory  got them back to even at 4-4.
 Coincidentally, Miller and Bishop Rosecrans will both be playing Millersport the next time they take the field. The Bishops will  host the Lakers at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday, while the Falcons will head out to face them  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th.
