Basketball Recap: Beach Extends Winning Streak to Three

Beach had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 66-62 W against the Richardton-Taylor Raiders. That's more bragging rights for the Buccaneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Beach pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points over those games. As for Richardton-Taylor, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beach will face off against South Heart at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richardton-Taylor, they will square off against Washburn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Washburn knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Richardton-Taylor likes a good challenge.
