The match between Christ Prep Academy and Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool wasn't particularly close, with Christ Prep Academy falling 67-48. While losing is never fun, Christ Prep Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool is ranked 96th).
Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Blaine Hunninghake out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The game was Hunninghake's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Caden Meier was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Christ Prep Academy bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Christ Prep Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Independence Home School at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Independence Home School will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against Centralia at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
