The Millersport Lakers will face off against the Miller Falcons at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Millersport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.6 runs per game this season.
Millersport's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Wellington School 29-0. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Kendyl Bonkowski made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, Miller was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Eastern, falling 28-0.
Millersport is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Miller, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
Millersport took their victory against Miller in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 17-3 score. Will the Lakers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
