The Nogales Apaches will challenge the Salpointe Catholic Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Nogales made easy work of Pueblo and carried off a 12-1 victory. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Josiah Bracamonte looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Diego Gomez was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Xaciel Garcia was another key player, earning two runs and one stolen base.
Nogales was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic posted their closest win since April 2nd on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Rio Rico 9-7. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won four in a row.
Adan Koch Rodriguez looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Paul Saffer, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Aciel Guillen, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Salpointe Catholic pushed their record up to 20-3-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Nogales, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8-1 record this season.
