Meanwhile, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Martin Luther King made off with a 48-47 win over Strawberry Mansion.
Martin Luther King's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Makhai Robinson, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Benito Scott was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
The losses dropped South Philadelphia to 0-2 and Parkway Center City to 2-1.
South Philadelphia couldn't quite finish off Martin Luther King in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 46-44. Can South Philadelphia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
