Basketball Game Preview: Mesquite Wildcats vs. Marcos de Niza Padres

Mesquite is 10-0 against Marcos de Niza since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Mesquite Wildcats will head out to take on the Marcos de Niza Padres at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mesquite has nine straight victories, Marcos de Niza has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Meanwhile, Marcos de Niza was beaten by St. Mary's 46-15 on Tuesday.

Mesquite pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.9 points per game. As for Marcos de Niza, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Everything came up roses for Mesquite against Marcos de Niza when the teams last played on January 10th, as the squad secured a 116-7 win. In that match, Mesquite amassed a halftime lead of 67-4, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
