The Clayton Clippers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Pitman Panthers at 6:15 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Clayton can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 46-20 margin over Buena. The victory was just what Clayton needed coming off of a 72-43 loss in their prior contest.
Rainelle Blocker was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Jones, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Pitman beat Triton 41-35 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pitman.
Clayton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Pitman, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Everything went Clayton's way against Pitman when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Clayton made off with a 52-30 win. Does Clayton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pitman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
