The Glenvar Highlanders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Everything went their way against James River as Glenvar made off with a 67-45 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Glenvar has managed all season.
Glenvar was led to victory by Aidan Hylton and Brody Dawyot. Hylton scored 14 points along with five steals, while Dawyot dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. Hylton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Shephard, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Glenvar's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for James River, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-12.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Patrick County the next time they take the court. James River will host Patrick County at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Glenvar will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
