Having just played yesterday, the International Community Comets will head out on the road to face off against the Calvary Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, International Community turned things around against New Dimensions on Monday. They snuck past New Dimensions with a 62-57 win.

International Community's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paxton Boaz led the charge by going 7 for 15 on his way to 20 points and three steals. Boaz's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Slade Woodruff was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points along with six boards and five assists.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy entered their tilt with Geneva on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Knights 69-52. While the Lions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Calvary Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Christopher Terrell Jr, who posted 21 points. Terrell Jr continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Nieves, who had 11 points.
Calvary Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for International Community, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as International Community and Calvary Christian Academy are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. International Community hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.4 points per game. However, it's not like Calvary Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
International Community won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January of 2016, slipping by Calvary Christian Academy 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for International Community since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
