The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rossford, who defeated 367th ranked Otsego, 27-0. Dylan Losiewicz ran for 150 yards and caught 2 passes for 28 yards during the win.
The Bulldogs scaled the state rankings by moving to 369 from 441 this week, the biggest jump in Northern Buckeye. Rossford was able to move up by defeating the Knights 27-0.
Kyle Sherman put up the best numbers through the air as Chris Werbylo's team defeated Otsego. He finished with 11 completions for 130 yards and 1 touchdown.
Lake's Jared Rettig and Adam Duncan have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Rettig has thrown for 1,069 yards this season, while Duncan has 17 catches for 376 yards. Losiewicz from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 490 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Genoa Area takes on second place Lake. Genoa Area defeated Fostoria last week, while the Flyers lost to Eastwood.
Two of the top teams in Northern Buckeye will go toe-to-toe this week when Lake takes on the Comets. Mark Emans' team's offense has scored 233 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Genoa Area has allowed only 76 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Flyers take on Timothy Spiess' team. Lake has allowed 81 points this season, while the Comets have given up 76. The Flyers allowed 21 points last week as they fell to the Eagles.
Genoa Area extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Redmen, 70-30. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
