Fernandina Beach is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Raines a 16-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their two-run performance the match before.
Isabella Bishop was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Bishop was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rylee Murallo, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Bland, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Fernandina Beach hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Paxon School For Advanced Studies came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Sharks as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Hayley Hinds, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Ponte Vedra off the board.
On the hitting side, Paxon School For Advanced Studies got a massive performance out of Jaela Palmer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Maleah Rouse, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.
Fernandina Beach's record is now 8-11. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, their record now sits at 15-5.
