Fellowship Baptist Academy has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Hilltop Christian Chargers at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilltop Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Fellowship Baptist Academy, who comes in off a win.
Fellowship Baptist Academy put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by White Plains Christian at home to the tune of 68-21.
Meanwhile, Hilltop Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their 18-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Living Water Christian. Hilltop Christian has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Caleb Manriquez, who scored 14 points along with three steals and two blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Snow, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Fellowship Baptist Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Hilltop Christian, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-4.
Fellowship Baptist Academy and the Chargers were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but the Eagles came up empty-handed after a 43-42 loss. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Manriquez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
