After soaring to 49 points the game before, The Minor Tigers were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were outmatched by Parker on the road and fell 41-7. Minor was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Parker can attribute much of their success to Cameron Jennings, who threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. Amari Brundidge was in the mix as well, providing Parker with two touchdowns.
Minor's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-4 Florence (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.6% over those games). As for Parker, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minor will take on Woodlawn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Huffman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Huffman is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
