After a string of seven wins, Decatur's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 56-38 fall against Tahoma. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Decatur in their matchups with Tahoma: they've now lost four in a row.
Kennedy Catholic suffered their biggest loss since December 22, 2023 on Monday. They were the victim of a rough 58-35 defeat at the hands of Enumclaw.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Riley Burns, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gabriela King, who scored three points along with ten rebounds.
Decatur's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Kennedy Catholic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Decatur skirted past Kennedy Catholic 47-45 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Kennedy Catholic's Paige Nadarski, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
