Cookeville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Oakland Patriots by a score of 66-54. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Patriots are ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cookeville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for Oakland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season.
