Ethan Meadows Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Tompkins was led to victory by Ethan Meadows, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Meadows rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.4). He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 64 yards.
The victory snapped Tompkins' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. Meadows and Tompkins will head out on the road to square off against Morton Ranch at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Justin Thierheimer Turns in Season-Best Effort
Justin Thierheimer produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Tompkins to the win on Thursday. Thierheimer threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushed for 112 yards on only eight carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 62 yards.
This season, Thierheimer has thrown 7 touchdowns while averaging 178.6 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 8.2 passing yards per game.

Zion Jones Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Jordan got the W thanks in part to Zion Jones playing the best football he has all season. Jones rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory for Jordan keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. They and Seven Lakes are set to duel on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Daylin Robinson Leads Mayde Creek over Tompkins
On Thursday, Mayde Creek had to settle for second even though Daylin Robinson put up the best numbers he has all season. Robinson picked up 179 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards.
Mayde Creek is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. Robinson and Mayde Creek will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morton Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on October 17th.

Trey Williams Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Trey Williams posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Mayde Creek over Tompkins on Thursday. Williams threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (27) he has had since back in October of 2023.
On the year, Williams has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 63.2 passing yards per game.
