Fredericksburg V came out on top against Faith Baptist on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Victory blew past Faith Baptist 12-2. The Victory might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Steven Reckard made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Reckard was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ryan DeWald and Caleb Rutledge did most of the damage at the plate: DeWald got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles, while Rutledge went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
