Sterling moved up to 127 from 160 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Central Kansas. The Black Bears climbed the ranks as a result of beating Smith Center 26-16.
Halstead was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league.
Hillsboro's Tyler Proffitt and Shaq Thiessen have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Proffitt has thrown for 2332 yards this season, while Thiessen, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 38 catches for 869 yards. Sterling's Riley Galyon leads the league in rushing yards with 1314.
Zach Andersen has rushed for 942 yards on 155 carries so far this year.
