Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Meade's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Meade and Kiowa County meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Buffaloes walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mavericks. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-1 victory on Tuesday.

Meade easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12.

Kenadie Alexander paced Meade's offense, picking up 12 kills. Alexander got some help from Sayler Stapleton and her 18 assists.

Meade has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season. As for Kiowa County, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-21.

Meade wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Ingalls on the 11th. As for Kiowa County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against South Central on the 11th.
