The Liberty Christian Lions will be playing at home against the Tindley Tigers at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Liberty Christian will be strutting in after a  victory while Tindley will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Having struggled with 12  losses in a row dating back to last season, Liberty Christian finally turned things around against Indianapolis Washington  on Tuesday. Liberty Christian blew past Indianapolis Washington 17-7. Liberty Christian's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Carter Wicker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Wicker was even better at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing six bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Josh Goodman, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zach Greenlee, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Tindley lost  23-4 to Indiana School for the Deaf last Wednesday. Tindley has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Malachi Weathers was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-2 with a  stolen base and two  RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.  Asaph Mozeed was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all two of his plate appearances.
 Liberty Christian  made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-11. As for Tindley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
