Alpine's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tornillo Coyotes a 3-0 shutout. This was payback for the Bucks, who suffered an 11-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Alpine is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Tornillo, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

Coincidentally, Alpine and Tornillo will both be playing Kermit the next time they take the field. The Bucks will head out to face the Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Coyotes will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
