Meanwhile, Mount Ayr came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Worth County with a sharp 60-39 win. Mount Ayr might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 21 points or more this season.
Nodaway Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Mount Ayr, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
