On Friday South Pointe take on Canyon State Academy at 7:00 PM. South Pointe are coming into the contest hot, having won five in a row.
Last Friday, South Pointe put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Imagine Prep Superstition 52-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-6.
Meanwhile, Canyon State Academy got themselves on the board against St. John Paul II Catholic, but St. John Paul II Catholic never followed suit. Canyon State Academy put a hurting on St. John Paul II Catholic to the tune of 66-0. The success made it back-to-back wins for Canyon State Academy.
Their wins bumped Canyon State Academy to 3-2 and South Pointe to 5-0. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
