Everything went Byhalia's way against Ripley on Thursday as they made off with a 35-10 win. The rankings were on Byhalia's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Junior Charles Powell, who rushed for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Byhalia's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Qvoisiea Buford, who racked up ten tackles.
The win got Byhalia back to even at 5-5. Ripley are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Byhalia will stay at home next week against Tishomingo County at 7:00 PM. Tishomingo County stagger in eager to bring about an end to their seven-game losing streak. Ripley will be staying on the road, facing off against New Albany. New Albany have averaged 34.88 points over the course of their past three games, so Ripley might be in for a challenge.
